Be Water, My Friends
Raise your hand if you haven't wrapped a red piece of cloth around your head and pretended to be Bruce Lee...
We have all heard of Bruce Lee... master of martial arts... a lean, mean fighting machine. He has some of the most famous fighting movies and a cult-like following. Most casual people Do not know, that Bruce Lee was also known for his wisdom. When I read the quote a few years back from him... "Be Water, My friend", It really captured my train of thought and made me realize how powerful of a thought process that was.
Water... it’s formless... it takes on the shape of whatever contains it... but it’s also powerful... capable of wearing down even the hardest rocks over time. After spending a week at the beach, I was reminded at just how powerful water really is. The waves would crash, and the water would find ways around the rocks... That’s the kind of adaptability we need in our lives now more than ever. We’re stepping into a future that feels like something straight out of a sci-fi movie...
Virtual reality, AI, Holograms, Smart tech in everything, Robots... It’s happening... and it’s happening fast. The way things were done in the 1990s... or even 2000's simply won't survive in the world to come. By 2030, if you’re still holding onto those old methods... you’re going to get left behind... stranded in a world that’s moved on without you.
We’re at the edge of something we’ve never seen before... a time when knowledge alone isn’t enough. You don’t have to know everything... you just have to know what question to ask... and how to leverage the tools at your disposal. We’ve entered an era where the rules are being rewritten... where the landscape is constantly shifting. If you can’t adjust... if you resist... you’ll crumble under the weight of change.
But if you can be like water... if you can flow, adapt, and find your strength in flexibility... you’ll thrive. You always have to be aware of what’s happening around you... understanding the subtle shifts in your environment and moving WITH them... not against them.
I don’t plan on just surviving the next decade... I plan on thriving... blazing new trails... and seizing the opportunities that come with this brave new world. The time to adapt is now... to let go of the past and embrace the future. The world is changing... and if you’re ready to change with it... you’ll rise above. So be water... flow... and find your strength in your ability to adapt.
So, in the end, the real winners will be those who embrace the chaos...who see change as an opportunity rather than a threat. If you're willing to evolve, to let go of what no longer serves you, and to tackle new challenges with an open mind, you’ll find that there is no limit to what you can achieve in life. Just like water, you’ve got to keep moving, keep flowing, and keep finding new ways to make your mark. Whether it’s in your personal life, your businesss... the key is to stay flexible, and resilient. The future isn’t something to be feared—it’s something to be embraced with open arms, and then mastered.
This is why I am so flippin excited about MX. It will be the foundation we lay, to host all these new and modern pieces of technology. You will have every tool in the book available to you... mark my words.
Have some Fun today!
Cheers -
